Now that the refinance is done and I have time to breathe, I wanted to send you an email thanking you for all of your great service! It was truly amazing to me how you responded to my every inquiry immediately (and by immediately, I believe the longest time between when I sent a question via email to when you responded was 20 minutes!). Your service is amazing!
In all honesty, I was a bit nervous at first, as I had located your company in the Philadelphia Inquirer and had only dealt with you online. But to anyone else who is nervous about not meeting you in person, or you not being Bank of America or Washington Mutual (who by the way I used to have my mortgage through and they took days to respond to emails and I had experienced being on hold for over 40 minutes various times), I can only say that my lawyer who reviewed all of the documents before we signed them said it was one of the best written financial documents he had every reviewed, and he started out his career in Real Estate Law and is now a DA! You truly operate as your slogan states "Honest rates, Low Fees, Excellent Service"!
In these times deciding to refinance a mortgage that was not bad (21 years left on a fixed 6.25 APR) to an even better one (an UNBELIEVABLE 4.875 FIXED for 15 years, with no points and less then $2000 in fees) was extremely stressful, but you patiently walked through each step with me. I can not tell you how I appreciate your complete honesty and I know that due to this refinance, when it is time for our daughter to go to college in 15 years, with our house paid off and over $100,000 saved in interest from the first loan to the refinance we will have no problem in paying for her tuition. I could never thank you enough for that financial security.
Everyone that I worked with from the house appraiser, the title clerks to the notary (who came to my house after 6pm so that I would not have to miss time at work) were very patient with all questions that we had, and extremely knowledgeable. Everyone you recommended to me were tops in their field, I could not have asked for any better. I only wish that my original mortgage had been such a smooth transaction!
Again, thank you for helping me through this process, I will (and have been ) telling everyone if they are looking to refinance to contact you at Excel.

My wife and I were initially very reluctant to get a mortgage based upon a rate we found on a website. We were worried that there were would be some kind of hidden fees or last-minute changes. After placing calls to some other online lenders, we learned that many of them were publishing low rates online that were never available once we got someone on the phone.
Fortunately, working with Excel was nothing like that. The low fees we paid at settlement were precisely what Chris said they would be during the very first phone call, and the rates that were advertised online were exactly the rates we received. No tricks and no hassles. In fact, the rate we got was so low that the seller and her realtor asked us at settlement how we were able to get such a deal.
When we had some last-minute paperwork issues the night before settlement (that were beyond your control), you and your staff remained in the office well into the night in order to ensure that we would still have our settlement the next day. You went above and beyond in a way that few other lenders would.
It was such a pleasure to work with you that we've already started to recommend you to our friends. If the market presents us with an attractive window to refinance, I'm sure we'll be calling you again. Thanks for everything!
